~The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies~
1 cup (250 mL) butter 1/2 cup (125 mL) granulated sugar 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) brown sugar 2 eggs 2-1/2 tsp. (12 mL) vanilla extract 2-1/2 cups (625 mL) all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) salt 1 tsp. (5 mL) baking powder 1 tsp. (5 mL) baking soda 2-1/2 cups (625 mL) semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350o F (180o C).
In a large mixing bowl, with an electric mixer, cream together the butter, the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla, beating until smooth and fluffy-ish.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Add this mixture to the butter mixture, beating until everything is well-mixed. Stir in the chocolate chips.
By hand, form the dough into golfball-sized balls and place them 2-inches (5 cm) apart on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes, just until the edges are beginning to brown lightly. It’s better to underbake these cookies slightly, so remove them from the oven while they’re still a bit soft in the middle.

Definitely! As long as you keep them in an airtight container! A friend of mine said they tasted just like Toll House cookies! This recipe makes a ton of them too, lol!
